How to Invite Externals to Collaborate on Office 365 Apps with BSL

This page lists the benefits of becoming guest users and guides you on how to invite externals to become guest users.

Note: Users with @but.fr, gigafrance.fr and @butdsi.onmicrosoft.com email addresses are NOT considered externals. The prerequisite is externals have a Microsoft account with the associated email address. 

1. Chat with guest users on Teams.

2. More convenient to Share files or folders with guest users

3. Guest users have the search function when being shared with a SharePoint folder.

4. Add guest users to an internal group. 

2. Navigate to Add - User - Invite External User

3. Fill in user information (Only email address is mandatory) and Click Review and Invite.

4. The invited user will receive an email from invites@microsoft.com in French. Click Accept Invitation and all done.

5. You may want to check if they click the link. Navigate to the Users tab and search for that user's name or email address you just input in the invitation form.
